‘LG G4’, 세계에서 가장 긴 ‘셀카 릴레이’로 기네스 기록 깼다!

LG전자 멕시코 법인(LG Electronics México, LGEMS)은 지난 6월 13일 ‘멕시코시티(Mexico City)’의 중심지인 ‘차풀테펙(Chapultepec Castle)’ 성에서 독특한 이벤트를 열어 화제가 되었습니다. 단 한대의 ‘LG G4’ 전면카메라로 기네스북에 등재된 ‘가장 긴 셀피 릴레이(Longest Selfie Relay Chain)’의 기존 기록에 도전한 것인데요. 이 도전은 한 장소에서 스마트폰 카메라 하나로 얼마나 많이 셀피 연속촬영을 하느냐가 관건인데, 기존 기록은 2015년 5월 미국에서 등재된 531장입니다.

LG전자 멕시코 법인은 LG의 전략 스마트폰인 ‘LG G4’를 테스트하기 위해 기네스 세계 기록에 도전하기로 했습니다. ‘LG G4’의 배터리 소모, 카메라 화질, UX, 프로세서를 그 한계까지 시험했다는 점에서 무척 모험적인 도전이었습니다.

이번 행사에서 ‘LG G4’는 흠잡을 데 없는 성능을 입증했습니다. 800만 고화소 전면카메라로 거의 10초마다 셀카를 촬영했지만 ‘LG G4’에게 실패란 없었죠. 사진의 화질 또한 우수해 흐릿하거나 흔들린 사진은 한 장도 없었다는 후문입니다. 현장에 참여한 소비자와 미디어들에게 3,000mAh 대용량 배터리가 기록 달성이 끝날 때까지도 건재함을 직접 입증했습니다.

이 행사는 가족과 시민들이 자주 찾는 멕시코 시티의 상징이자 중심지인 차풀테펙 성 내부에 위치한 차풀테펙 공원에서 열렸습니다.

3천여 명의 멕시코 시민들은 ‘LG G4’와 기네스북에 대한 뜨거운 관심을 표하며, 약 2시간에 걸쳐 746장의 셀피를 연속 촬영하는데 성공했습니다. 이 행사는 기네스북 협회 감독관의 현장 감독인 알렉스 에인저(Alex Anger)의 감독하에 이뤄졌고, 기존 기네스북 기록을 큰 차이로 깨는데 성공한 것이죠.

현재 이 기록은 심사위원의 기술(스마트폰) 및 셀카 인증에 이어 기네스 세계 기록 위원회에서 인증을 진행 중입니다. 촬영된 모든 셀카는 인쇄 후 공공 갤러리에 전시하여 각 셀카에 담긴 수 백여 개의 이야기를 많은 사람들에게 전할 예정입니다. 또한 G4 로고를 형성화한 ‘셀카 벽화’를 만드는 데에도 사용될 계획이고요.

이번 등재된 ‘가장 긴 셀피 릴레이(Longest Selfie Relay Chain)’ 행사는 기네스 세계 기록 달성 이상의 의미가 있습니다. 이번 행사를 통해 소비자와 언론에 ‘LG G4’가 아름다운 외관과 함께 강력한 성능을 갖춘 최고의 스마트폰이라는 점을 입증했다고 확신합니다.

LG Electronics Mexico breaks the Guinness World Record “Longest selfie relay chain” with only one LG G4.

Last June 13th LG Electronics Mexico organized the event “The world’s largest selfie” in order to beat the World Guinness Record “Longest selfie relay chain”

We decided to take that Guinness Record as the main challenge for LG G4 testing the new LG’s flagship Smartphone. This record represents the biggest challenge for LG G4 because we pushed to the limit the battery consumption, camera quality image, UX and the processor.

LG G4 demonstrates an impeccable performance; we took more than thousand selfies, 746 were for the record and the rest were of the whole event, media, etc. The 3,000 mAh battery was a complete surprise, it lasted until the end of the Record. The processor never collapse, we took a selfie each 10 secs with media recording, photos, etc and the LG G4 never failed. The quality of all the photos were amazing, no single one selfie was blured or shaky.

The event took place at “Chapultepec” park, inside the “Chapultepec Castle” area where families and people of Mexico City go around making this location an icon, the heart of Mexico City.

The Record Guinness was succesfully beaten with 746 selfies participating more tan 3,000 people. This new mark stablished with the LG G4 beats the last Guinness Record of 531 Selfies stablished last may 2015 in United States. The Guinness World Record judge, Alex Angert, supervised this event and all the process that took almost 2 hrs.

Right now the record is being validated by Guinness World Record offices in order to complete the technological (smartphone) and selfies validation of the Judgde.

All the taked selfies will be printed on a public Gallery telling everyone the hundreds of stories of each selfie. Also the photos will be used to create a “selfie wall mural” of the G4 logo.

I’m pretty sure that the event, more than get a Record Guinness, demonstrate to consumer and media that LG G4 is the best smartphone ever created, beautiful outside and powerful inside.
